These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Nomad Japan website at workfromjapan.jp (the "Service"), operated by Nomad Japan ("we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Service.

Nomad Japan is an information platform that provides details about coworking spaces, hotel day-use options, and other work-ready spots in Japan for digital nomads and remote workers. The Service includes:
- A searchable directory of workspots with details on pricing, amenities, and policies.
- Editorial articles and guides about working remotely in Japan.
- Bookmark, comparison, and nearby-search features.
- User-submitted reports to help maintain information accuracy.
2. Eligibility
The Service is available to all users worldwide. By using the Service, you represent that you are at least 16 years of age. If you are under 16, you may not use the Service.
3. No Account Required
The Service does not require user registration or account creation. All personalization features (bookmarks, preferences, search history) are stored locally in your browser and are not associated with any account or personal identity.
4. Accuracy of Information
We strive to provide accurate and up-to-date information about workspots, including pricing, opening hours, amenities, and policies. However:
- Information may become outdated as workspots change their offerings without notifying us.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, NOMAD JAPAN SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, ARISING FROM:
- Your use of or inability to use the Service.
- Any inaccuracy in workspot information, pricing, or availability.
- Any actions taken based on information found on the Service.
- Unauthorized access to or alteration of your locally stored data.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for fraud, willful misconduct, or any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, including under the Japanese Consumer Contract Act (消費者契約法).
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Nomad Japan and its operators from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, violation of these Terms, or infringement of any third-party rights.

14. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Japan, without regard to its conflict of laws principles. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Tokyo District Court (東京地方裁判所) as the court of first instance.
15. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect. The invalid or unenforceable provision shall be replaced with a valid provision that most closely reflects the original intent.
16. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Nomad Japan regarding the use of the Service and supersede any prior agreements or understandings.
